On 9 December 2024, Anastasia Akritidou participated in the participatory foresight workshop “Innovation 2040 in the Region of Central Macedonia”, organised by the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Support Mechanism (One Stop Liaison Office) of the Region of Central Macedonia, at MOMus. The workshop was coordinated by Dr. Epaminondas Christophilopoulos.
Using strategic foresight tools, academics, researchers, scientists, professionals and civil society representatives worked together to co-design the vision for the next 15 years of a more innovative and competitive Central Macedonia — exploring possible scenarios and proposing strategies to address emerging challenges.
Thessaloniki, despite its traditionally conservative character, still has the capacity to co-shape its own future. And that happens because, behind institutions and structures, there are always people with real expertise and a vision for what comes next.
